Welcome to the Arkansas Association Of Community Rehabilitation Programs!

Our Association is made up of more than two dozen community rehab programs (sheltered workshops) throughout Arkansas, providing services to adults with disabilities AND providing quality subcontracting and outsourcing services to industries throughout the region. More than 2200 people with disabilities are served each year with many being placed in employment.

A surprising fact is that we, as community rehab programs earn more than 50% of our operating income through the subcontract work that we do for industry. Through outsourcing, many large corporations have put their faith, trust, and their product in the hands of our work centers. Our subcontracting incorporates sophisticated skills such as hot and cold gluing, heat sealing, quality control, and complicated assembly tasks. Material handling, packaging, mail work, and labeling jobs also provide hands-on experience for our workers with disabilities. By using REAL work, subcontracted from local and national industries, these individuals learn the skills needed to transition to competitive jobs outside the work centers.

In some communities, we have started our own businesses such as recycling centers, restaurants, retail outlets, and car washes, providing not only training opportunities, but services to our communities as well.
